You decide how you send and receive your data: I can send the texts via mail or e-mail them as Word or PDF files. I can work on paper or in the files directly. I will charge either per page, per hour, or suggest a fixed fee. Prices comply with the recommendations of the German organization of freelance copyeditors (VFLL). Please ask for an individual quotation.

German Language Courses

I offer courses in German as a foreign language. Those can take place in a private or institutional setting, since I have been licensed by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) as a teacher of integration and alpha courses. I also have a lot of experience in vocational language training.

Who

WORTZEIT is: Petra Keufgens-Michaeli M.A., freelance copyeditor since 2001 and German as a foreign language teacher since 2011.

Part of my training were German studies (M.A.), Slavic studies, and Eastern European Studies at Cologne University. I spent some time studying abroad and held internships at several publishing houses. Moreover, I completed the master program German foreign studies (DaF/DaZ) at Jena University (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität).

My professional career began with a stay in Prague, Czech Republic, as a German lecturer. After that I worked for well-known publishers, for example as a counselor and event manager for Ernst Klett Verlag.

In 2001 I began working as a freelance copyeditor for several publishers and other companies. Since 2011, I am a teacher of German as a foreign language in adult vocational training. I also teach school children at primary and secondary schools.
